With downloads flatlining, word has come in that Monique Coleman (High School Musical 1 & 2) is ditching her first single, "This Crazy Life" altogether, not even filming a video for it. It premiered last week on the charts and is expected to fall even lower continuly (though it may get a raise with HSM2), but basically, Monique will be shooting a video for her 2nd single, "Fighter", which has a more "upbeat" feel to it and would work well with Mainstream Radio and would be able to get a good bump from HSM2. The single will be released August 14th, just 3 days before HSM2 premieres.
Meanwhile in Midnight Records news, Jason Baker has pushed back his single & album releases to September.
Also word has it that since Tina Barrett's "Hot" single has basically flopped, she will be filming a new video soon for her 2nd single which is expected to be released in about 4 weeks.

do you guys think this is a good idea? Both singers/albums/singles are flopping so im gonna do a bigger promotional push and better mainstream singles that will hopefully hit.

Tina may just be an artist who doesn't do so well.
Monique should do better

I don't think Tina will ever have a huge hit, maybe better than the one she has now, but I doubt huge

well i mean like a huge hit compared with her flop of a single "Hot". one that will atleast help the album in the long run go like Gold (500,000 copies sold)
